We
all must congratulate Trevor Monk who managed to walk some 17 miles from
Newport Pagnel in Buckinghamshire to Cardington, Bedfordshire. Trevor
managed to raise over £120 in sponsorship for the Airship Heritage
Trust Appeal fund be completing this feat.
Luckily the Jubilee weather smiled upon Trevor and he had glorious weather
on Saturday 1st July. Trevor, who after a few practice walks in the week
before the event, had to make a start at 6.00am in the morning to try
to beat some of the traffic on the heavier used roads of the route. It
took Trevor some 5 1/2 hours to complete the 17 miles on a very hot day,
an impressive time.
Those people who kindly sponsored Trev, please can you send your sponsorship
